Friends of the Devonshire Park Theatre

The 'Friends' is a society formed in 1984, the centenary year of the Devonshire Park Theatre, whose objective is to 'encourage support for the Devonshire Park Theatre and for Theatre-Going in general.'

There are now nearly 1700 dedicated and enthusiastic 'Friends'. The society organises numerous social occasions including:

• lunches and teas with guest speakers
• trips to regional and West End theatres
• an annual Garden Party to raise money for the Theatre
• opening night receptions with the chance to meet members of visiting companies.

Specially trained volunteer members of The Friends operate the audio description service for the visually impaired at two performances every week and members also assist with stewarding.

There is a regular quarterly newsletter keeping you informed of all events and activities in our programme.
