Directed by Robin Herford (The Woman in Black), Tom Kempinski’s multi-award-winning play returns to the stage with a major UK tour. Resonant with echoes of the life of cellist Jacqueline du Pré, Duet for One leads celebrated concert violinist Stephanie Abrahams (Haydn Gwynne) through a series of highly-charged encounters with her doctor, Alfred Feldmann (William Gaunt), as she is forced to re-evaluate her life and face a truth too difficult to comprehend.

Haydn Gwynne (Peak Practice, MerseyBeat, Nice Work and Drop the Dead Donkey) has made numerous stage appearances, most recently Billy Elliot The Musical (West End and Broadway) and Richard III with Kevin Spacey. William Gaunt became a household name for his role as Bob Marriott in ITV’s Sergeant Cork. He also starred in BBC TV’s Next of Kin, No Place Like Home and ITV’s The Champions.

“ A wonderfully sensitive play, positive and optimistic.”
