COVID-19 UPDATE 25 Mar 2020, 17:30pm

All shows at Eastbourne Theatres are now either cancelled or postponed up until Sunday 17 May.

Please do not contact Box Office, we are working through shows in date order.  We will be able to issue some refunds without contacting you. Otherwise, we will contact customers either by email, letter or phone with details for each individual show.

We will continue to post updates on individual shows on our social media pages and website over the coming days so please keep checking back.

Thank you for your patience at this time.

Due to the current circumstances concerning the COVID-19 virus, all performances up to and including Sunday 17th May have been suspended and our Box Office has had to close until further notice.

Where possible, shows are being rescheduled and details will be available in due course.  We will try and get the new dates for rescheduled shows up on our web-site and social media platforms as we confirm them. Where a customer is unable to attend the new date, refunds will be given.

Refunds will be made for all cancelled shows, and are currently being processed by our team in date order.

During this period, our small but dedicated team will continue to work remotely where possible. However, please be aware that it will be much more difficult for them to answer queries or emails during this period and that there may be a significant delay in you receiving a response.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Eastbourne Theatres as soon as possible with an exciting programme of shows. Our website remains open 24 hours a day with tickets available for future performances. We will also continue to post ongoing updates regarding cancellations and rescheduled dates on both our website and social media channels.

In the meantime we thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.

42nd Street (The Rattonians)

Monday 27 July 2020 to Saturday 01 August 2020

Congress Theatre

Known as “The Mother of all showbiz musicals” 42nd Street is the ultimate musical theatre extravaganza

The young Peggy Sawyer fresh off the bus from small town America, auditions for her dream to be on the Broadway stage.  She makes the grade and is just another face in the chorus line when the leading lady gets injured.  The show must go on and the young Peggy finds herself stepping into the role at short notice and a shot at Broadway stardom.

From the magical curtain raiser opening of the tap audition to some of the best show tunes including “Lullaby of Broadway” “We’re In The Money” and “42nd Street” the show is a nostalgic piece of theatre in true 1930’s Hollywood style filled with glamour and style.  An uplifting summer musical filled with sunshine, whatever the weather!
