Body Double

Tuesday 01 August 2017 to Saturday 05 August 2017

Devonshire Park Theatre

A play that keeps its audience guessing, a play about pretence, a play about the different roles people assume in life, about the dangers of pretending to be someone we’re not.

In Body Double the actors are actors, the set is a set and the play being rehearsed mirrors the life of those rehearsing the play-within-the-play.

Eventually everyone starts to lose track of what is real and what is simply being ‘acted out’. So, when one of the characters tries to take on the life of another this leads, inevitably, to deadly consequences.

Reviews

"Mark Carey manages to strike that perfect thriller-mystery formula: it’s convoluted enough to be interesting but not too obscure to follow, and just when you think you understand what’s going on, a new twist catches you by surprise." Stratford Herald
