COVID-19 UPDATE 25 Mar 2020, 17:30pm

All shows at Eastbourne Theatres are now either cancelled or postponed up until Sunday 17 May.

Please do not contact Box Office, we are working through shows in date order.  We will be able to issue some refunds without contacting you. Otherwise, we will contact customers either by email, letter or phone with details for each individual show.

We will continue to post updates on individual shows on our social media pages and website over the coming days so please keep checking back.

Thank you for your patience at this time.

Due to the current circumstances concerning the COVID-19 virus, all performances up to and including Sunday 17th May have been suspended and our Box Office has had to close until further notice.

Where possible, shows are being rescheduled and details will be available in due course.  We will try and get the new dates for rescheduled shows up on our web-site and social media platforms as we confirm them. Where a customer is unable to attend the new date, refunds will be given.

Refunds will be made for all cancelled shows, and are currently being processed by our team in date order.

During this period, our small but dedicated team will continue to work remotely where possible. However, please be aware that it will be much more difficult for them to answer queries or emails during this period and that there may be a significant delay in you receiving a response.

We are looking forward to welcoming you back to Eastbourne Theatres as soon as possible with an exciting programme of shows. Our website remains open 24 hours a day with tickets available for future performances. We will also continue to post ongoing updates regarding cancellations and rescheduled dates on both our website and social media channels.

In the meantime we thank you for your patience during these unprecedented times.

Sunny Afternoon

The Kinks

Tuesday 15 September 2020 to Saturday 19 September 2020

Congress Theatre

Following a phenomenal two years in the West End and a sensational hit tour across the UK and Ireland in 2016, the multi Olivier Award winning “Dazzling” (Guardian) musical Sunny Afternoon comes to Eastbourne.

With ‘“Triumphant. Show Stopping, Magic.”(Mail on Sunday), this “Kick-Ass. Indisputably Terrific” (The Times) musical tells the story of The Kinks who exploded onto the sixties music scene with a raw, energetic new sound that rocked a nation. Set against the back-drop of a Britain caught mid-swing between the conservative 50s and riotous 60s, Sunny Afternoon charts the euphoric highs and agonising lows of one of Britain’s most iconic bands, and their irresistible music that influenced an entire generation.

With Music and Lyrics by Ray Davies, Book by Joe Penhall and Direction by Edward Hall, experience the faultless musicianship and brilliant songs played live and loud on stage including You Really Got Me, Waterloo Sunset, Dedicated Follower of Fashion, All Day and All of the Night, Lola, Sunny Afternoon and many more, as the cast of Sunny Afternoon come together in this “Exhilarating” (Financial Times), moving, must-see depiction of one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
