Noises Off

One of the greatest British comedies ever written visits Eastbourne, direct from a triumphant West End season.

The stellar cast includes Liza Goddard, Paul Bradley and Simon Shepherd.

Michael Frayn’s celebrated play serves up a riotous double bill, a play within a play.

Hurtling along at breakneck speed, Noises Off follows the on and offstage antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through the fictional farce, Nothing On.

From the shambolic final rehearsals before opening night in Weston-super-Mare, to a disastrous matinee in Ashton-under-Lyne seen entirely, and hilariously silently, from backstage, before we share their final, brilliantly catastrophic performance in Stockton-on-Tees.

Liza Goddard’s extensive stage comedy credits include Life of Riley, Communicating Doors, Season’s Greetings and Relatively Speaking. Paul Bradley is best known for playing Nigel Bates in EastEnders and Eliiot Hope in Holby City and most recently as Revered Brian Rushton in The Burning Girls. Simon Shepherd‘s many credits include Peak Practice on TV and the West End productions of Posh, The Duck House, Rapture, Art and Hay Fever.

‘One of the most joyous farces ever written… reduced me to laughter so helpless I could barely see the stage for crying’

Whatsonstage

‘Pure comic bliss. Dazzingly brilliant… has lost none of its power to reduce well-behaved adults to hysterical wrecks’

Daily Mail

‘Blissfully and brilliantly funny…guaranteed to leave an audience breathless with laughter’
